Search our database by keyword

Examples

  • Search this entire website. Enter identifiers, names or keywords for genes, pathways, authors, ontology terms, etc. (e.g. eve, embryo, zen, allele)
  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").
  • Boolean search syntax is supported: e.g. dros* for partial matches or fly AND NOT embryo to exclude a term

TAIR Computational Description: Calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding Copine family protein;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: Encodes a plasma-membrane localized, copine-like protein, which is a member of a newly identified class of calcium-dependent, phospholipid binding proteins that are present in a wide range of organisms. Mutants exhibit temperature-sensitive growth defects and increased hypersensitive response where permissive conditions are low temperature (22 degrees Celsius) and low humidity. Gene is expressed at 22 but not at 28 (restrictive condition) degrees. Lethality of double mutants with BON3 can be partially suppressed by SNC1. Double mutants show defects in development that are genetically separable from hypersensitive/cell death response.
TAIR Short Description: Calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding Copine family protein
TAIR Aliases: BON, BON1, CPN1
