Examples

  • Search this entire website. Enter identifiers, names or keywords for genes, pathways, authors, ontology terms, etc. (e.g. eve, embryo, zen, allele)
  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").
  • Boolean search syntax is supported: e.g. dros* for partial matches or fly AND NOT embryo to exclude a term

Organism . Short Name: A. thaliana
TAIR Computational Description: FASCICLIN-like arabinogalactan-protein 12;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: Encodes a member of fasciclin-like arabinogalactan proteins (FLAs) containing a cell adhesion fasciclin (FAS) domain. Most strongly expressed in interfascicular fiber cells where it is localize to the plasma membrane-secondary cell wall boundary. Mutations result in altered stem biomechanics with reduced tensile strength and reduced tensile modulus of elasticity, as well as altered cell wall architecture and composition, with increased cellulose microfibril angle, reduced arabinose, galactose and cellulose content. Possibly involved in embryogenesis and seed development.
TAIR Short Description: FASCICLIN-like arabinogalactan-protein 12
TAIR Aliases: AtFLA12, FLA12
