Encodes a cytosolic L-tyrosine aminotransferase. AtTAT2 exhibits much broader amino donor specificity than AtTAT1 and can use not only Tyr but also Phe, Trp, His, Met, Leu, Ala, Ser, Cys, Asp, Asn, Gln, and Arg as amino donors.
