Examples

  • Search this entire website. Enter identifiers, names or keywords for genes, pathways, authors, ontology terms, etc. (e.g. eve, embryo, zen, allele)
  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").
  • Boolean search syntax is supported: e.g. dros* for partial matches or fly AND NOT embryo to exclude a term

Organism . Short Name: A. thaliana
TAIR Computational Description: ADPGLC-PPase large subunit;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: ADP-glucose pyrophosphorylase catalyzes the first, rate limiting step in starch biosynthesis. The large subunit plays a regulatory role whereas the small subunit (ApS) is the catalytic isoform. Four isoforms of the large subunit (ApL1-4) have been described.Mutational analysis of APS1 suggests that APL1 and APL2 can compensate for loss of APS1 catalytic activity, suggesting both have catalytic as well as regulatory functions. The mRNA is cell-to-cell mobile.
TAIR Short Description: ADPGLC-PPase large subunit
TAIR Aliases: APL2
