Examples

  • Search this entire website. Enter identifiers, names or keywords for genes, pathways, authors, ontology terms, etc. (e.g. eve, embryo, zen, allele)
  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").
  • Boolean search syntax is supported: e.g. dros* for partial matches or fly AND NOT embryo to exclude a term

Organism . Short Name: A. thaliana
TAIR Computational Description: Eukaryotic aspartyl protease family protein;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: Encodes a protein with aspartic protease activity (also known as aspartate-type endopeptidase activity). Overexpression of the gene was shown to lead to salicylic acid (SA)-mediated disease resistance upon exposure to the pathogen Pseudomonas syringae. Moreover, overexpression of this gene led to the upregulation of two pathogenesis-related genes PR1 and PR2. This upregulation was no longer observed in transgenic lines expressing the bacterial NahG gene encoding a hydroxylase suppressing SA accumulation.
TAIR Short Description: Eukaryotic aspartyl protease family protein
TAIR Aliases: CDR1
