Organism . Short Name: A. thaliana
TAIR Computational Description: Rhodanese/Cell cycle control phosphatase superfamily protein;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: Encodes a homolog of yeast cell cycle regulator CDC25. It has a sole catalytic domain and devoid of the N-terminal regulatory region found in the human CDC25 and is capable of reducing the mitotic cell length of transformed fission yeast. Non-plant CDC25 proteins have been shown to do this. However, the gene is more or less constant, regardless of whether the tissue examined contained proliferative cells. Also described as having arsenate reductase activity involved in arsenate resistance.
TAIR Short Description: Rhodanese/Cell cycle control phosphatase superfamily protein
TAIR Aliases: ACR2, ARATH;CDC25, AtACR2, CDC25
