  • Search this entire website. Enter identifiers, names or keywords for genes, pathways, authors, ontology terms, etc. (e.g. eve, embryo, zen, allele)
  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").
  • Boolean search syntax is supported: e.g. dros* for partial matches or fly AND NOT embryo to exclude a term

Organism . Short Name: A. thaliana
TAIR Computational Description: allene oxide synthase;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: Encodes a member of the cytochrome p450 CYP74 gene family that functions as an allene oxide synthase. This enzyme catalyzes dehydration of the hydroperoxide to an unstable allene oxide in the JA biosynthetic pathway. It shows a dual catalytic activity, the major one being a 13-AOS but also expressing a 9-AOS activity. CFA-Leu, CFA-Val, CFA-Met and CFA-Ala can induce the expression of AOS.
TAIR Short Description: allene oxide synthase
TAIR Aliases: AOS, CYP74A, DDE2
