Examples

  • Search this entire website. Enter identifiers, names or keywords for genes, pathways, authors, ontology terms, etc. (e.g. eve, embryo, zen, allele)
  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").
  • Boolean search syntax is supported: e.g. dros* for partial matches or fly AND NOT embryo to exclude a term

Gene
Length: 4644
Chromosome Location: Chr5: 6641907-6646550
Organism . Short Name: A. thaliana
TAIR Computational Description: SITE-1 protease;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: S1P appears to function as a Golgi-localized subtilase and to help protect seedlings against salt and osmotic stress. The roots of s1p-3 mutants are hypersensitive to NaCl, KCl, LiCl, and mannitol. Several salt-stress responsive genes show weaker induction in an s1P-3 mutant background. The proteolytic cleavage of the bZIP17 transcription factor depends on S1P in vitro. And there is evidence that S1P can cleave bZIP17 in vitro.
TAIR Short Description: SITE-1 protease
