  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").

Gene
Length: 2362
Chromosome Location: Chr3: 20145905-20148266
Organism . Short Name: A. thaliana
TAIR Computational Description: homolog of carrot EP3-3 chitinase;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: encodes an EP3 chitinase that is expressed during somatic embryogenesis in 'nursing' cells surrounding the embryos but not in embryos themselves. The gene is also expressed in mature pollen and growing pollen tubes until they enter the receptive synergid, but not in endosperm and integuments as in carrot. Post-embryonically, expression is found in hydathodes, stipules, root epidermis and emerging root hairs.
TAIR Short Description: homolog of carrot EP3-3 chitinase
TAIR Aliases: ATCHITIV, ATEP3, CHIV, EP3
