Encodes catalytic subunit of serine/threonine protein phosphatase 2A. It can associate with phytochromes A and B in vitro. Mutant plants display an accelerated flowering phenotype.Acts antagonistically to SnRK2 to regulate ABI5 phosphorylation. It inteacts with NRP which results in tethering to endosomes leading to its degradation.
