Examples

  • Search this entire website. Enter identifiers, names or keywords for genes, pathways, authors, ontology terms, etc. (e.g. eve, embryo, zen, allele)
  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").
  • Boolean search syntax is supported: e.g. dros* for partial matches or fly AND NOT embryo to exclude a term

TAIR Computational Description: Transcription factor GTE6;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: Encodes a member of the BET subgroup of bromodomain proteins, a novel class of putative transcription factors. Its expression is induced during seed imbibition and downregulated during germination. Seeds of a loss-of-function mutant allele, imb1, show impaired cotyledon greening during germination in abscisic acid (ABA) and express higher levels of ABI5 protein than the wild type. Moreover, imb1 seeds are deficient in the phytochrome A (phyA)-mediated very-low-fluence response of germination.
TAIR Short Description: Transcription factor GTE6
TAIR Aliases: GTE01, GTE1, IMB1
