Search our database by keyword

Examples

  • Search this entire website. Enter identifiers, names or keywords for genes, pathways, authors, ontology terms, etc. (e.g. eve, embryo, zen, allele)
  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").
  • Boolean search syntax is supported: e.g. dros* for partial matches or fly AND NOT embryo to exclude a term

TAIR Computational Description: plant natriuretic peptide A;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: Encodes PNP-A (Plant Natriuretic Peptide A). PNPs are a class of systemically mobile molecules distantly related to expansins; their biological role has remained elusive. PNP-A contains a signal peptide domain and is secreted into the extracellular space. Co-expression analyses using microarray data suggest that PNP-A may function as a component of plant defence response and SAR in particular, and could be classified as a newly identified PR protein. It is stress responsive and can enhance its own expression.
TAIR Short Description: plant natriuretic peptide A
TAIR Aliases: AtPNP-A, PNP-A
