Examples

  • Search this entire website. Enter identifiers, names or keywords for genes, pathways, authors, ontology terms, etc. (e.g. eve, embryo, zen, allele)
  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").
  • Boolean search syntax is supported: e.g. dros* for partial matches or fly AND NOT embryo to exclude a term

Gene
Length: 3400
Chromosome Location: Chr1: 813413-816812
Organism . Short Name: A. thaliana
TAIR Computational Description: debranching enzyme 1;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: Encodes a protein with strong similarity to isoamylase (EC:3.2.1.68) however lacks critical residues known to be important for activity. Appears to co localize with ISA1 in the chloroplast isoamylase complex. Mutations in this gene cause the loss of detectable isoamylase activity and the disruption of normal starch structure. It has been postulated that AtISA2 interacts with AtISA1 to form the Iso1 complex.
TAIR Short Description: debranching enzyme 1
TAIR Aliases: AtBE2, ATISA2, BE2, DBE1, ISA2
