Adama currently supports four types of adapters:
passthrough (see details).
An adapter can be registered using two methods (or a combination of them):
POST an URL to a git repository containing the code and the metadata. This is the recommended way.
POST the code and the metadata. The code can be a single file, tarball, or zip archive. This method is useful to temporarily overwrite some of the metadata provided in the git repository, for experimentation purposes.
It is strongly recommended to use the first method, since it makes it easier to share, to modify, and to keep track of changes in the adapters.
