A full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Molecular Genetics and Functional Genomics is available in the Department of Agronomy at Purdue University. The successful candidate will use a combination of genomics, molecular and biochemical approaches to dissecting regulatory pathways underlying plant architecture and adaptation traits in soybean, and be expected to contribute to functional characterization of genes underlying other traits of agronomic importance as well.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in plant genetics, genomics, molecular biology, or a related discipline. Experience in gene cloning and vector construction, genome editing, DNA-protein and protein-protein interactions etc. are highly desired. Familiarity with basic bioinformatics tools or a programming language such as Perl or Python for genomic data mining is a plus.

The position is partially supported by a three-year grant from the USDA NIFA Foundational Program as well as commodity funds and available immediately. The initial appointment will be for one year, and it is renewable upon satisfactory progress. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
