Search our database by keyword

Examples

  • Search this entire website. Enter identifiers, names or keywords for genes, pathways, authors, ontology terms, etc. (e.g. eve, embryo, zen, allele)
  • Use OR to search for either of two terms (e.g. fly OR drosophila) or quotation marks to search for phrases (e.g. "dna binding").
  • Boolean search syntax is supported: e.g. dros* for partial matches or fly AND NOT embryo to exclude a term

TAIR Computational Description: Leucine-rich repeat protein kinase family protein;(source:Araport11)
TAIR Curator Summary: ZAR1 encodes a plasma membrane localized leucine-rich repeat receptor-like kinase (LRR-RLK) that contains a putative CaM-binding domain and a Gβ-binding motif within its intracellular kinase region. Homozygous of function mutations are embryo-lethal and fail to properly make the first asymmetric division of the zygote. ZAR1 interacts with both CaM and Gβ in vivo and that interaction activates ZAR1 kinase activity.
TAIR Short Description: Leucine-rich repeat protein kinase family protein
TAIR Aliases: ORPK1, ZAR1
